Environmental Advisor - Doncaster
Your tasks:
- Be part of the HSQE team and assist the team to maintain full engagement in meeting business objectives
- Ensure full compliance with NR015-L2-ENV-015 and other applicable NR standards
- Develop/Review Environment and Social Management Plans, Site Waste Management Plans, Incident Response Plans, and all other associated documentation
- Ensure the requirements of the companies Integrated Management System, including processes, reference materials and forms are cascade and implemented, with regular reviews and updates where necessary.
- Reviewing environmental management requirements in CPPs and WPPs
- Prepare consent applications and undertake pre-application consultation as required
- Providing support and advice to project teams regarding SWMPs so that legal requirements are properly identified and implemented, including duty of care and transfer documentation, and that data is properly recorded
- Identify, develop and deliver environmental training:
- Induction
- Tool-box talks
- Training for personnel with specific environmental responsibilities
- Undertake site inspections, record and report findings
- Provide support and advice in response to incidents and complaints so as to ensure that they are managed in accordance with company and client standards.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on the following, and develop Excel-based data-bases and reports accordingly: targets, objectives, KPIs/EPIs, aspects and impacts inspection findings, audit findings, close-calls, incidents, complaints, carbon and energy, social value
Your profile:
- Have a Degree or equivalent level qualification within a relevant discipline
- Good understanding of the UK legislative framework and requirements
- Network Rail project background and working knowledge of NR-L2-ENV-015 is desirable
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and support as required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Full driving licence
- The ability to stay calm and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to travel to different locations
- Member of IEMA (AIEMA minimum)
