OLEC 3 - Doncaster, United Kingdom

MAIN DUTIES:

• Carry out installation of OLE works to OLEC3 standard and as instructed by supervisors to ensure they are carried out safely and to the required standards.
• Ensure that any project specific drawings and specifications issued to you are marked “for construction”.
• Check OLE materials whilst installing and report any shortages or defects to your supervisor.
• Be capable to undertake works alone and act as Site Supervisor when required.
• Ensure that all paperwork is completed correctly and legible.
• Undertake safety critical roles to assist the business needs.
• When acting as protection staff i.e. COSS, machine controller, look out etc ensure you have all the required equipment.
• Ensure that all tools, plant and equipment you are using are in good working order and fit for purpose.
• Ensure you receive briefings from your site managers / supervisors regarding the work to be carried out including the content of risk assessments and method statements.
• Ensure you receive a briefing from your COSS regarding the railway safety protection in place i.e. possession details, isolation details etc.
• Ensure that all environmental issues are adhered to within the Company’s Environmental Awareness and Education Module.
• Take note and accept all Toolbox Talks and briefings (internal & external).
• Comply with the companies Code of Conduct.

THE PERSON:

Practical OLE experience, training and OLE theory training is essential.

Qualified to OLEC 2 and 3.

Valid PTS card

Full UK Driving License
